New and prospective members this is for you!

Please join us for a new member welcome! This is a great opportunity for you to learn more about the club and meet some other newcomers. We’re planning this informal meet up at the Townline Community Park near the playground equipment. If you have kids, they are welcome to play while parents chat.

Bring a folding chair or blanket, in case the pavilion is not available. 

In case of inclement weather, we will send an email the morning of August 31st to registrants to change to our rain back up date September 1st  at 10am.

The Newcomers’ Club follows CDC and state COVID-19 guidelines. If you feel unwell or have recently been exposed to or diagnosed with COVID-19, please stay home. In accordance with IL state guidelines, face masks that cover your nose and mouth are required for all attendees at indoor Newcomers’ Club functions, and strongly encouraged in crowded outdoor situations. We recommend being fully vaccinated before attending a Newcomers’ social function, as it reduces COVID-19 risk.

By registering for a Newcomers’ Club event, I agree to comply with all preventive measures established by Newcomers’ Club intended to reduce the spread of COVID-19. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that I (or my family) may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participating in a Newcomers’ Club function, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to myself or my family. I also agree to waive, release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Newcomers’ Club, its board and members, from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating to any Newcomers’ Club hosted event.
